Inspired by Malarkey's Dealing With Telephone Salesmen series of posts, and having got the day off today, I just gave “Austin” from Tucan Telecoms the “Sorry, we don't have phones here” line.
I also let him know that we already used 'two-cans' and a piece off string for our calls, so he'd had a wasted call.
Austin: But the phone you're using now; is it a BT residential line?
Me: No. I think we got the string from Tesco.
