Happy New Year 2005

Look at this! A new design. Weeks ahead of schedule.
I'd decided a while ago that I would redesign to something minimalistic in the hope that maybe I'd stick with it for a while rather than chopping and changing looks every couple of months. Well, this is it.
Not only is this a spiffy new design, but I'm now using Textpattern rather than Wordpress to publish the thing. THere was nothing wrong with Wordpress but I was getting sick of all the comment spam and had heard that Textpattern's a bit more resilient to it. I also prefer the admin interface in Textpattern and the way it allows for some IA.
I've made the switch ahead of schedule so that it was out before new year. Because of this, it's not finished. There's still some designy bits to finish off and at the moment the URIs have messy querystrings as I can't get the clean links to work. The URIs are completely different from when I was on Wordpress, so anybody linking to old material will be met with a very ugly 404 page (I've not redesigned that yet).
Oh, and there's no Archive page yet. If you want an archive listing, you'll just have to wait. In the meantime, you can either use the categories or the search on the right hand side.
The “Leave me” links at the bottom of the left bar are pulled directly from my del.icio.us bookmarks, so they'll closely follow what I'm actually bookmarking at any one time. This way, you read what I read.
Let me know what you think and if you've found any bugs.
