Resolutions - End of year update

At the beginning of the year I made public some of my new years resolutions. I promised an update around about this time, and this is it.
- Diet: I nearly did it. I promised to lose 14lbs by the end of January. I think I lost 12, which was close enough for me. I then steadily lost more weight for a couple of months then stayed the same for a while as the regime lapsed. Eventually I crocked my knee and sat on my arse for a couple of weeks. That didn't help. Then I got Nicki pregnant and my tummy started growing at a similar rate to hers. I'm as heavy as ever, but I'm feeling pretty fit.
- Exercise: Good. Played loads of footy in the first half of the year, then continued to play once a week after that (only really had 3 weeks off for my knee injury/surgery). I cycled almost every day. The only occasions when I didn't ride to work were when I was going out to the pub straight after, or when my knee was bad. Didn't ride on weekends as much as I would have liked, but I did do more than last year, and I rode the Karrimor Trail at Coed-Y-Brenin which is the most challenging physical experience I've ever had.
- Home: I have been less lazy. Especially since Nicki's been with child. Ironing, vacuuming and cleaning have all been my responsibility as Nicki's been told to take it easy. I still played a lot of XBox though.
- Work: Things have gone quite well this year. I learnt a lot; I got a half decent pay rise and I did things I wanted to do. Work got a little slow towards the end of the year as the parent company got into a bit of financial trouble. Who knows what the new year will bring though.
- Money: Still working on it.
- Life: Friends were seen, I did a lot more things that I enjoy and I made several key technology purchases that have improved my way of life no-end. Oh, and now I'm going to be a dad. A DAD!
The private resolutions went OK. One of them was to put a bun in Nicki's oven. Tick. Another one, which will for the moment remain private, might still come good before the year is out.
