Miles and his Opa

Wednesday September 6, 2006 - Permanent link to this post -

Miles and his Opa

I took this picture in Scarborough back in May of my Dad and Miles on the beach.

I entered it into a photo competition on UpMyStreet.co.uk asking for pictures of "Friends and Family" and it won!!! I've never won anything for my photos before and I know it's not a major competition or anything but I'm chuffed to bits. I don't know what the "colour printer" prize will be like but there's always ebay.

I told my mum about it on IM this afternoon and she said she'd email the link to my dad at work. I told her to tell him he's famous. Her response was

"Well, he can add that to infamous"

In related news, this photo of my brother, JC, and his girlfriend, Aunty Freeze, made it into the top 25 in the same competition. Result.

    Congratulations, Pete – nice picture.

Have you Photoshopped the dark inner glow or is that natural? Maybe you should start posting photography tips and tutorials…

    Thanks Matthew.

The dark corners are just fake lens vignetting added in Adobe Lightroom. It’s not really worth a tutorial on it’s own, but I suppose I could go down that route with some other things.

    Cheers.

    Well done!

It is a very good picture and worthy of winning,

It truly is a beautiful shot.

I’d love to see the photo they were actually posing for though. Think what THAT could win!!!

    Well done kidda.
