Spin

Thursday January 19, 2006 - Permanent link to this post -

Miles goes for a spin

The trick to this shot was an elaborate camera arm attached to his waist - like in that Justin Timberlake video. The camera arm was specially made for Miles' size, was constructed almost entirely of steel and rubber and weighed about 20kg.

It took some time for him to get used to the extra strain, but babies are very resilient and after a few hours of practice he had it figured out. The spinning effect was acheived by placing him on the turntable of an old Sanyo Music Centre running at 45rpm. My hands were not originally intended to be in shot but the camera timer went off just as I reached to catch him as he fell off the stereo.

    YES!!!

The blog is back! And back to its best!

You’ve got to start them young man. And if he wants to make it in the pop industry he’s got to master these new technologies.

I’ve always looked at miles and thought, he could be the next michael jackson. I rarely say it out loud, but it’s what i’m thinking…

.. i think its the way he wears his socks.

And his little podgy white nose.

(note the absence of crude comments about hanging around with babies? – sophistication)
