This may sound soppy but...

Friday June 3, 2005 - Permanent link to this post -

There are many, many things I love about my wife, most of which I'm obviously not going to tell you lot. I noticed one more of these things today.

Every morning Nicki gets up and puts together a packed lunch for me. I know what you're thinking and yes I do realise how lazy/lucky I am, but the fact is that Nicki is a morning person and I just am not. The lunch usually consists of a sandwich, an apple, orange and banana, a stick of celery and a carrot, and a Kit-Kat (or similar) to finish it off. This act in itself is enough of a reason for me to end this post right here, but there's more. If, like today, the fridge is running a bit low and we're out of celery and carrots, rather than letting me go without a portion of my daily snack, Nicki replaces this healthy option with an extra Kit-Kat! Now that's special.

Nicki, although you are likely never to read this, I have something I would like to say:

Thankyou for my lunch.

Now that was a sappy weblog post. Normal, non-wimpy service may resume shortly.

Haha, reminds me of “so long and thanks for all the fish”, without the “so long” bit (and also without any fish, but you get the idea).

    No fish, just Kit Kats.

Hm. She seems like a good wife. Remind me to have dinner at your place some time soon.
